Our Story

The story of 4M Construction & Transportation LLC is deeply rooted in family, faith, and a lifelong passion for hard work. It began with a young boy growing up on a small farm in rural South Carolina, watching his father and grandfather drive trucks. That boy—fascinated by the big rigs and inspired by the legacy of men who worked the land and the road—dreamed of one day becoming a truck driver himself.

Life in the country for a young boy meant being surrounded by animals, exploring the outdoors, and getting hands-on experience with building, fixing, and sometimes tearing apart just about anything in sight. Those early experiences instilled a natural love for construction, machinery, and the satisfaction of creating something from the ground up.

In 2016, a job relocation changed everything. Preparing to sell the family home required both DIY efforts and professional renovations, reigniting a passion for building that had long been tucked away during years spent climbing the corporate ladder. That spark was the beginning of something bigger. In December of 2017, the first seeds of 4M were planted—a company built on the values of faith, family, integrity, and hands-on excellence.

By 2020, through the grace of God, Marcus—co-founder and visionary behind 4M—stepped away from corporate America to pursue his dream with the full support and backing of his wife and family. He enrolled in a local technical college to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Building Construction and earned his Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), finally answering the call that had been on his heart since childhood.

Later that year, the transportation division of 4M officially launched. The company became a licensed and authorized common motor carrier with the authority to haul freight throughout all of North America. What started as a dream on a dirt road in South Carolina was now a fully operational logistics company, offering dependable, professional freight transportation services.

Today, 4M Construction & Transportation LLC proudly serves manufacturers, brokers, businesses, and government agencies across the Southeastern United States. Known for reliability, integrity, and a deep commitment to customer satisfaction, 4M is a trusted transportation partner.

Looking ahead, the company is preparing to publicly launch its building construction division. This expansion will focus on new residential construction, property renovations, and site preparation services—bringing the story full circle and honoring the childhood passion for building that started it all.
